Fernand has been a resident of Jackman since 1972 and previously lived in Connecticut. He was self-employed in the trucking business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and gardening.
Fernand was predeceased by a son, Steven Gregoire; a brother, Raoul Gregoire; and a brother-in-law, Armand Carrier.
He is survived by his wife, Lise (Bolduc) Gregoire; his children, Gerry Gregoire and wife Sarah, Kathy Parker and husband Mike, Linda Toolen and husband Kevin, and Eric Duval and wife Julie; his mother, Jeanne D'arc (Veilleux) Gregoire; his grandkids, Alexia, Paige, Dylan and Dalton Gregoire, Matthew, Jackie and Nathan Parker, Lauren Toolen, Samuel and Justine Duval; his siblings, Marcel Gregoire, Gisele (Gregoire) Carrier, Louisette Gregoire, Helene (Gregoire) Baleux and husband Rolland, Donald Gregoire and wife Diane, Diane (Gregoire) Groleau and husband Yvon, Rachelle (Gregoire) Carrier and husband Rolland, Ghislaine (Gregoire) Bilodeau and husband Richard, Denise (Gregoire) Gonthier and husband Philippe, Luc Gregoire, Yvon Gregoire, Pauline Gregoire and Serge Gregoire and wife Louise; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Jackman Region Health Care, Redington-Fairview General Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center for their loving care of our husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 6, at the American Legion Hall in Jackman, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7.
Arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River St., Bingham.
