Martin, 70
WESTBROOK -- Jane H. Martin, 70, of Westbrook, passed away on Wednesday morning at her home after a very long and valiant battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Portland on Jan. 25, 1941, the daughter of the late Rodney and Helen (Wiggin) Larsen. Jane graduated from South Portland High School, class of 1959, and worked in retail sales for Zayres and Ames Department Stores in Portland and CVS Pharmacy in Westbrook. She was a VIM member of Westbrook Memorial Unit 197, The American Legion.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Nancy L. McHugh. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, David F. Martin, Westbrook; a daughter, Kimberly A. Williams and her husband Robert, son, Chris Martin and partner Brad Eldridge, and Craig S. and wife Ruth (Smith) Martin. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Todd Martin, Nicole, Samantha and Danielle Williams and Brandon and Brooke Martin; several nieces and nephews; brothers Peter and Michael Larsen, and sisters, Carol Hansen, Frances Gagnon, Susan Whitten and Kathy Larsen.
Visiting hours will be at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, on Saturday, May 7, from 12 to 2 p.m., with a service from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to the American Legion Hall on Rt. 25 on the Westbrook/Gorham line from 3 to 5 p.m. for a light luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Health and Hospice
or Mercy Hospital, Oncology Dept.
