AUGUSTA -- Mitchell G. 'Skip' Williams, formerly of Worcester, Mass., passed away on April 21, 2011, at the VA Hospital in Augusta.
Born in Portland to Mitchell and Florence Williams on Dec. 4, 1933, our father enjoyed traveling, fishing, being with family and friends laughing and joking and living life to the fullest. He worked for Jordan Meats Company where he retired. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and served in Germany in 1957.
Mitchell is survived by his 16 children from his first wife, Katherine Simpson Williams who passed away on Dec. 3, 1982, Ronnie wife Sally, Rose husband Charlie, Bonnie, Donna husband Willie, Beverly husband Floyd, Harry wife Lori, Michael, Debra husband Paul, Darlene husband James, Michelle husband Jerome, Brenda, Robert wife Dawn, Richard, Larry wife Marie, Laurie, and Vickie; his present wife, Earlene Williams, and two children, Gina husband David, and Michael; and his three sisters, Helen Turner of New London, Conn., Dot Sheppard of Silver, Md., and June McKenzie of Portland. He also leaves over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Edith Love and brother, George Williams.
Our Dad will be dearly missed, never forgotten and forever loved.
A memorial service will be held in Portland on Memorial Day.

It feels like yesterday that I walked in and saw you on the couch and gave you a big hug and kiss! The smile that you had on your face is what I will remember forever, as your memory lives on...
