V Kingsley, 45
FELTON, Calif. -- V Kingsley (born Valerie Doe), 45, of Felton, Calif., died from complications with cancer on Friday, April 1, 2011.
V is survived by her son Parker (13); wife Dani Hope; and mother-in-law, April Moen of California; her father Gordon Doe and step-mother Gini of Pennsylvania; her sisters, Jennifer Doe of Portland and Kathleen Martin of London, England; nephew, William Grabarz; and endless family of choice including Brook Alloway of Michigan. She was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Doe of Portland.
V graduated from Portland High ('83) and Emerson College ('87). V most loved being a mother and wife and diligently kept in touch with her numerous family and friends from every stage of her life.
She was an accomplished artist who famously displayed her quilting alongside her epic journey with cancer on alotoflife.com.
V was an esteemed member of the Unitarian faith and youth leader. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a West Coast memorial service on May 21, and one in Portland on V's birthday of Nov. 11.
In lieu of flowers, V requested
donations to Parker's college fund. For more information please

To all who knew,and were apart of V's life,I'd like to share her heart felt gratitude..Even at the end,she held the knowlege of the Blessing you have been,and the desire all would find peace and love in their lives.. She was an example of a life well spent,and even as I am beyone sad,it brings such JOY to be her dad,and I do thank you for adding to V's rich life.
