Janine, Melinda, Karen and Pat,
I am so sorry for your loss. I just have no words. You are all in our thoughts and our hearts just ache for your loss. From the time she took her first breath she was the most special of little girls. She grew into a beautiful young woman and you ladies are remarkable for what you imparted in her life. Janine, her spirit with the help of God will always be there to comfort you and guide you as you go on in this life. She truly is an angel. I am sure she is working on behalf of those she knew and loved on this earth. The world is surely a bit colder without her presence here. Love you Britt.

It has been a little over two months and this is the first time I can bring myself to write something. To Brittney's family, I will remember her forever and how she changed me. I understand if this is too late but if you need anything feel free to call me I am sure someone still has my number somewhere. My thoughts are with you all the time and hope that this holiday season can still be joyful because that is what brittney would want for all of you.

Dearest Janine, There are no words to express my sadness. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. The Brittney I remember was a much younger girl than the lovely photo in the newspaper. My she grew! She was a bright and kind spirit for sure and a tremendous loss for all. I am so very sorry. I send my love and prayers to your entire family. And to Brittney. "Blessings on your journey dear Brittney".

Janine,

While we didn't know Brittney well I keep thinking of her going so young and the sorrow you are now enduring.

I thought it might help to hear of a memory that we shared with her. One day last Summer you all invited us up to your ranch to introduce my son Dylan to horse back riding. Brittney was so kind to Dylan showing him your horses. He had a humongous smile on his face as the two of them cantered quite fast through the meadow. As a father I could see that my son was in her capable and caring hands which made me happy. I think we all shared a time of joy that day. I'm glad we got to spend that time with her.

We are always here to talk if you ever want an ear. We know you are on the most difficult journey and we feel deeply for your loss.

Janine, oh, Janine, my heart breaks in a million pieces for you, my brain struggles to make some—any sense of your loss, and my eyes shed tears without end.

I can hardly imagine a Mother’s love and grief for her precious daughter, but I do know what a son’s love for his Mother is like when she passes away — it is like a hammer that just keeps banging and banging on your heart until you think you cannot stand it another minute. But somehow you do, and someday in the future, wild birds will sing again and mountain creeks shall burble in their courses, but for now they are silent with the still of Brittany’s passing.

I had not see Brittany in recent years, but I imagine she grew up fulfilling all the promise of her youth.

I remember the day I met her like it was yesterday – the most beautiful young child running by the pool, laughing, with the sun sparkling off her golden bobbing curls. She was the cutest, most precocious child I have ever met. She was truly God’s true love for us personified, which is why her death hurts so very, very much, and is impossible to understand.

I have no more words other than to say you have my deepest love and sympathy.
