I was just thinking of Haxn Haus in Marin today (New Years Eve 2020) -- one of my favorite eating spots ever -- and came across this.
My condolences to the family. I lived on The Alameda in San Anselmo from 1984 to 1990, when I moved to Vermont. For one of my wedding parties (I've only been married once, but I like dinner parties so we had a good few to celebrate), we had fresh caught and fried abalone (I and my friends were into "ab diving" at the time) combined with pork ribs (my favorite) from Haxn Haus.
