THELMA COX Obituary

Thelma Arletta "Lee" Cox Passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2010 at the age of 95. She enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage to Edward Cox (d. 1987). Lee is survived by her two children and their spouses E. Dale Cox (Nancy) and Judy McGrath (Joe); four grandchildren, Russell Cox (Janice), Suzanne Mathison (Jim), Amy Ramos (Greg) and Garth McGrath; brother-in-law, Fred Cox (Ruth); seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan and Melanie Cox, James and William Mathison and Allison and Ryan Ramos; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was born in Loleta, CA and, after marrying, moved to San Rafael, where she was a resident for 70 years. Self-employed as a masseuse for over 50 years, she retired at the age of 90. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends celebrating togetherness. Lee was an avid reader and loved being at the beach, especially Stinson and Hawaii. Her favorite hobby was collecting teddy bears, with over 300 in her collection. She was a wise and witty woman with a great sense of humor and we will miss her. On Saturday, October 30, 2010 from noon to 3:00 PM, the family would like to invite Lee's friends to a gathering to celebrate her life at the Spinnaker in Sausalito, which was her favorite restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
