Dear Fran,

Let me start by saying I'm sorry for waiting so long to write something in your guest book.

I remember my parents would drive us three kids down to Marion on the weekends to spend time with our cousins and at first I had no clue what cousins were or how we were related. But some of my fondest memories were of my dad and my brothers bowling together in your bowling ally. Most of the time you were busy cleaning up from the night before, but you always let our family have an afternoon of fun, as we tried to roll a bowling ball down that long wooden ally and hit just one pin. Then at the end of our games, you would come over and show us kids the real way to bowl. I remember my dad calling it the "fancy way to bowl" and you called it "bowling with style". Those were some really fun times our family had together, and I don't remember if I every said Thank you, Fran.

You and Judy were always very close to my mom and dad both in Ohio and now here in Florida. You helped my mom count less times with my dad during his final few months. You two were always there for my parents though thick and thin, good times and bad. But I don't remember if I ever said Thank you, Fran?

And for the last 2 years….every holiday, sporting event or just for fun, it was you and me talking, laughing, joking and a lot of eating in mom's Florida room. I have never met a man who loved dessert more then you, from your pumpkin pie on steroids at Thanksgiving, too all the fudge I watched you inhale on Christmas Eve. I would tell you slow down, and you would say… "you only live ones, go in style".

I guess this is getting too long for even you to read, so me let close by saying….

Thank you, Fran…..for being my friend, and my cousin!

Judy & sons John. Lenny, Rodney, David and all of your families, It seems like just yesterday that I met Fran. John, you were just a newborn and your mom was my roommate in the hospital. We also discovered we had the same doctor but believe it or not we never met in his waiting room. It is a friendship that has endured just a couple of weeks shy of 53 yrs. So many times we drove to Marion and stayed for the week-end. Each year both families added another child until we had a total of 9 kids of various ages. Those were the days my friends and I didn't think they would ever end. But now both Fran and Ralph have gone on to a better place in God's wide world and His Everlasting Eternity where they neither one will feel the pain of illness again. Judy remember the turkey episode that one Thanksgiving when Fran couldn't find the white breast meat of the turkey? Oh how we laughed when he asked you if it was a large duck instead of a turkey? You seriuosly replied 'the butcher told me it was a turkey.' Judy, we have been thru so much together and maybe one of these days we can really make the decision to write that book of all the silly, comical things that has happened between our families, My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you at this time. Judy you know that if you were my sister I couldn't feel any closer to you than I do. Take care and please call me just to talk, I'll be here just to listen. Fran dear friend, Rest in Eternal Peace. I will remember you in my prayers. As Always, Ethelda
