Phillips
MARION: Marcella "Marcy" Phillips, age 73, of Marion, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014, at her home.
She was born on March 21, 1941 to the late George E. and Christina (Blakeman) Rapp in Waverly, OH. On September 2, 1962, Marcy married Tom Phillips, who survives. For 25 years, she served as an executive secretary at the Ohio State Patrol in Marion and Bucyrus. Marcy was a member of Cornerstone Alliance Church. She was also a member of several quilting groups and, for many years, she volunteered at Hospice.
Besides her husband, Tom, Marcy is survived by her son, Michael (Vicki) Phillips of Bucyrus; her daughter, Diana (Bill) Leapley of Blacklick, OH; sister, Opal (Roger) Eades; and two grandchildren, Zacharcy Phillips of Marion, OH, and Elizabeth Leapley of Blacklick, OH.
Marcy was preceded in death by three brothers; and five sisters.
Services for Marcy will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2014 at 1 PM at Cornerstone Alliance Church with Pastor Tim Miller presiding. Interment will immediately follow at the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12-1 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mission Fund or the Building Fund at Cornerstone Alliance Church.
