Robert John Heater

MARION: Robert John Heater, age 84, of Marion, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Marion General Hospital after a short illness. Bob was born July 28, 1930 in Paulding County, Ohio to the late William and Iona (Sickmiller) Heater. Bob married Josephine Weir-Fox on January 1, 2005 and she survives.

After graduating from Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Ohio Bob joined the US Marines and proudly served his county. After being honorably discharged, Bob loved his work in the installation of Nuclear Power Plants where he was able to travel the United States and its territories.

Bob married Eleaner Correy and she died leaving him with two small children. Bob married Carolyn Roger and added four more children to his family.

Bob was a native of Ohio, but raised his family in Florida enjoying the summer months in Ohio. Bob and Josephine made their home in Ohio spending the winter months in Florida. Bob and Josie loved traveling. Bob enjoyed deep sea fishing, cooking and traveling were his favorite activities.

Surviving Bob are children, Robert (Allison) Heater, Jr. of Florida, Jennifer Heater of Florida, Randi Heater of Florida and Alex (Kim) Heater of Florida; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nephews, Gary (Ann) Bruce and Larry (Lori) Heater; and niece Mary Elizabeth (Tim) Siebert.

He is predeceased by daughters, Debra Heater Cole and Tracy Heater; brother, William H. Heater; and sister, Elizabeth Jean Heater.

A Funeral Service celebrating Bob's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Brett Cornelius will officiate and burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Marion County United Veterans Council.

Memorial donation may be made in Bob's honor to the Wyandot County Humane Society. The Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Heater family and online condolences may be expressed at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
