Tami Reiff Obituary
MARION: Tami Reiff, age 58 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.
Tami was born on September 27, 1957 in Marion, the daughter of Larry and Jo (Earl) Greenwood. She attended River Valley High School and graduated in the class of 1975. She then went to the Ohio State University graduating with a bachelor degree in education.
Tami was a gifted and beloved teacher in the Ridgedale School District for over 18 years. She also worked at Kroger for 18 years. Tami enjoyed sewing and working various crafts and most Saturdays in the fall you could find her cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her husband, of nearly 20 years, Larry Reiff; children: Toby (Angie) Reiff, Chad Reiff and Jason (Audrey) Jenkins; grandchildren: Storm, Turner, Hannah, Rayne, Alexis and Slayton; parents: Larry and Jo Greenwood; mother-in-law Anna Mae Reiff; brother Randy (Kathy) Greenwood; niece and nephew: Brady and Kylee and special friends Kerry and Mike Ward.
Tami is preceded in death by her father-in-law Robert Eldon Reiff.
Visitation will be held on Sunday October 18, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 2PM to 5PM; Funeral services will be held on Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 135 W Main St, Waldo at 11AM with Pastor Sarah Schaaf officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tami's name to the Ridgedale Teacher's Association. A fund will be created for the teachers to purchase school supplies to help alleviate the out of pocket expense that every teacher does. Tami loved teaching with all of her heart and she loved nothing more than going to school shopping for supplies for her kids and decorations for her room. I never had Mrs. Reiff as a teacher, but I know that she cared about her job and had a lot of pride for Ridgedale. This is truly a terrible loss for the Ridgedale community. I am very sorry for your loss, Larry. May God bless you and your family.

I taught with Tami since 1993 when she had my daughter in 33rd grade at Ridgedale. A big hole has been left in the teaching community. So glad I've been able to keep in touch since my retirement.

Bob and Family: I am sorry to read about your daughter. I remember her when she was little and when your family came to the Fairfield Engineering picnic, and I was writing name tags. I spelled her name correctly without asking, and she thought that was a big deal!
It's not right that we have to bury our children, but sometimes it is in God's plan, even when we don't understand. Please accept my condolences.
