Howard Krause Obituary
Howard K. Krause, 53, of Macungie, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at home. Born in Allentown on November 15, 1958, he was a son of Harold R. Krause of Macungie and the late Mae C. (Diehl) Krause. He was a welder at Electrospace in Topton for 20 years. He was a member of Huffs Union Church. He belonged to the Reading Motorcycle Club, Gravely Club of America, Alburtis Rod and Gun Club, Macungie VFW and the Pikeville Sportsmans Association. He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1976 and played the drums in the marching band. He played baseball for many years and was a great pitcher. Survivors: father; brothers, Steven J. and his wife Pam of Macungie, Pastor Nathan L. and his wife Melissa of Gaithersburg, MD, Andrew P. of Zionsville; three nephews and four nieces. Services: Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, Huffs Union Church 540 Conrad Rd., Alburtis. Call 9 a.m. to time of service. To Steve, Nate, Andy and the entire Krause family. I would like to send my deepest condolences on the loss of Howard. When I heard of his passing my heart just broke. I immediately fell back in time and reminisced of the great times we had back in school, at your house, and all the fun we used to have. It is etched in my mind forever. I will never forget the friendship we all shared. Although I did not know Howard as well as the three of you, the few times I did meet him he was very nice to me, and treated me as if I were a good friend. I'm sure no words I express can take away the sorrow you must feel of losing a brother, but I want you to know that I am thinking of you. Best regards, and may God bless!

Todd and I were shocked and saddened to hear that Howard passed...taken too soon. We both worked with Howard...and our friendship went outside the workplace. I for one will miss his daily greeting of Mornin' Sunshine ! always brought a smile.He will be missed by many but never forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Krause Family. I and many of my friends had the fun knowing Howard when we were all young and he played softball with my friends on the TBA/Citizen's Fire Company #2 teams. We also had great times when he went along camping with the the 5 famiies from the team who enjoyed going camping every weekend in the summer time and then rushing home for a softball game.

A sweet man with a warm smile, kind word, gentle way and a hearty laugh...that was Howard. A bear of a man who gave the best hugs and was the best "sharer" of stories. Growing up with Howard and the "boys"; his brothers and mine was the greatest gift a girl could ask for. Howard will be missed, an mourned by everyone whose life he touched. My sympathy goes out to Harold, Stevie, Andy and Nate, and their families. You guys all have another angel watching over you. And Mae has "her Howard" in her loving arms again.
