John E. Weinhofer
John E. Weinhofer, 78, of Whitehall, died Nov. 23 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was married to the late Stella T. (Stangl) Weinhofer for 45 years. Born in North Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late John J. and Amelia M. (Yost) Weinhofer. John was a machinist for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a lifetime farmer, operating a family farm together with his son, Jack. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Hungarian Society and the former St. Joseph Beneficial Society, both in Northampton. He was a member of the West Coplay Maennerchor. Survivors: Son, Jack G. and his wife, Lisa, of Whitehall; daughters, Sharon T., wife of Louis Fiore, of Doylestown, Colleen E. Miller of Walnutport; eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Ted S. Miller, and a sister, Margaret. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 825 N. 11th St., Allentown.
