Terry and David,
I was a newlywed when I moved to 270 10th Ave. and was blessed to have John and Iva as our neighbors. I always felt like "mom and dad" were right next door. Your dad was always helpful with advice from household problems, lawn care and simple life lessons.Bob lived there a year before me and I remember him telling me,"you will love our neighbors", and he was right.I am thankful for having John and Iva in our lives for 13years while we lived next door. What a blessing to have known such lovely people.

Terry & David, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Johnny. My cousin George emailed me that he read the obit the Morning Call. I was just thinking of him last week.

Terry and David, I'm soo sorry for your loss. uncle john will be greatly missed. He was like a second dad to me. My dad will always miss his brother, but he will always remember the wonderful time they all had together! Whenever you get sad, just think of the cracker conversation and you will always smile! Love you all

Terry & David -- My sympathies on the loss of the man I knew as "Uncle Johnny." I have fond memories of him and your mom surprising us with a visit, or us knocking on their door in the Bethlehem for a drop-in visit. And I remember hearing him and LeRoy, Margaret, Sara & Tommy laughing and arguing while playing cards and drinking beer. I'm sure he's playing pinochle or telling a story to a crowd in heaven right now.

My sympathies to all of the family on John's death. He was a neat guy and I enjoyed our time together at Bethany. He and Iva were so active here.

David,
I’m sorry to learn of your father’s passing. It appears God blessed him with a long and happy life. From time to time I think of you and other Troop 22 friends from the past.
