Karen. Today I was in Jim Thorpe with my daughter and her classmates on a field trip. While at the prison I started talking to the owner. I asked her if she knew the Zurn family as I always did when I met someone from JT. She said yes and Jimmy died a couple months ago. The news instantly made me feel like I got punched in the stomache. I needed to confirm the death so I googled his name and residence which led me to this page. Jimmy was to me was larger then life. He was so kind and he always showed me a great time. In JT it was hanging out with a movie star. Everyone knew him. Everyone wanted to talk to him. He was just a great guy. He made me feel very comfortable when I was around him. Even though you and Nancy and I haven't worked in the er for some time, I still think about you guys and the fun we had outside of work and how jimmy just wanted to see all of us have a good time. I love you very much and I hope you are doing ok. And I am really in a state of shock about the news I learned today. You guys are in my heart and I will pray for you and Jiimmy tonight. Zen Mikulski.

Dear Zurn Family,

I wanted to express to you how beautiful Jim's mass was yesterday.

The entire eulogy, the words his brother in law spoke of and Jim's high school friend and coach recount the team but more importantly the men they became was very moving.

As a staff person at GLVR I met him at the time of the merger but that didn't matter to him. He instantly treated us all as life long friends and colleagues. When he was at the office he always went out of his way to stop in and say hi but wanted to know how we were personally, giving us words of wisdom of "don't work too much" or "enjoy life".

In his leadership with GLVR he traveled frequently as you know. On these business trips he would always send one email to one of us and the first line would say "share it with all the girls" He would thank us for the opportunity, describe what he was seeing, learning and experiencing. He often would end the email with,"I wish you all could see this".

I am thankful I got to know him and work with him. We will miss him greatly at the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS.

My condolences to Jim's family and loved ones. I've known Jim a few years having met him through PAR. He was a great guy (he reminded me of my uncle)He was passionate and spoke his mind which I truly appreciated. The last we spoke he said he wanted to talk more that evening about the topic we were discussing...guess it will have to wait till we meet again. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Jim 3 years ago out at PAR in a Leadership program we were both attending. I've gotten to know him pretty well since then, through various GLVR & PAR functions & committees. He was such a great guy with a big heart. He loved helping others & being involved in the community on many levels. He was always striving to do the right thing. He loved his family very much, as well as his community. I was so saddened to hear of his sudden passing & I know I will miss him very much! My heart & prayers go out to his family, friends & colleagues. I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the services today.

I've only known Jim for a few years through our Realtor Associations that we each belonged to and then eventually merged both into the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors Association. Jim was a "professional' in every sense of the word and he had no problem expressing his concern on any issue that he believed to be questionable! Jim was "real" with no gray areas and you knew exactly how he felt at that moment. He was a sincere, honorable and trustworthy person which made him a respected Realtor who truly cared about our Real Estate Profession and Consumers! There is no doubt in my mind that Jim would have been an outstanding President this year and his Leadership skills and his presence will definitely be missed by our Membership and me. May he be at peace and may the Zurn family find comfort in knowing that Jim's life had meaning and he commanded the Respect of his peers!
