David Burse Obituary

David A. Burse, 71, of Lower Macungie Twp., died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Charlee Ann (Couse) Burse. The couple celebrated 47 years of marriage on February 8. Born in Smyth County, Virginia, he was the son of Beulah Kate (Irvin) Burse and the late James M. Burse. David was a Naval Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Local 68 Operating Engineers, last working at Journal Square PATH. David, an animal lover, with a fondness for cats, was interested in genealogy and loved his family. Survivors: Wife; Mother; Daughter, Victoria N. Ziatyk and her husband Josh of Allentown; Siblings, Jeanne B. Widdicombe, Ron Burse, Judy B. Kelley, Betty B. McWhorter and Sandi B. Burse; 2 Grandchildren, Zachary and Chelsea Ziatyk; and Nieces and Nephews Services: Memorial, 11 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment at St. Paul's Cemetery Columbarium in Trexlertown will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Peaceable Kingdom, 1049 MacArthur Rd., P.O. Box 424, Whitehall, PA 18052.

Remembering how much love and kindness David showed and gave his mother Nan. He was a ray of sunshine in a sometimes long lonely day. Not only a son but a friend. Rest in peace David you were loved. My sincere condolences to your whole family. Many good memories of christmas eves of past and just seeing David and his mom enjoying each others company. Your family was fortunate to have you.
