Charlie,

Words cannot express my feelings upon hearing of Lorraine's passing. We were kids together growing up on Hazard Road in Palmerton so many years ago. We lost track of each other until one evening at Art Schmidt's get together at the barn when I heard someone call out "Cubby" a nick name from the past. It was Bob Partel and there were you and Lorraine. Now we have to remember her with joy the good times and how she always was such a fan of Summer Harmony. God Bless you and your children in your hours of grief.

Dear Dr. Smith, Julie, Chuck, Andy and all,

AS you know Lorraine and my mother were the best of friends. I recall with great fondness times on Columbia Ave. as neighbors. All Lorraine/Marge conversations started off with "You know Marge..." These dissertations ranged from the lack of morality in the world to the latest Palmerton happenings - AND always were filled with lots of laughter. I will miss her and pray for all of you and all of us whose sense of loss will increase in the days ahead. Peace and Love, Juliet

Dear Julie (and family)

I was so sorry to read of your mother's passing. I remember having a conversation with Judy Kweller about her, and saying no wonder Julie is such a sweetheart — look at her mother. I know that losing a parent leaves a huge hole in your life. But we certainly saw her in you, and I'm sure she's part of your kids, too. God bless.

To Lorraine's Family:

I was saddened to read in the paper of Lorraine's passing. I met her at the Bowling Lanes in '91 and immediately liked her. I remember her saying to me how jealous she was that I was going to be a Grandmother before her. She couldn't wait to be a Grandmother--and was so overjoyed when it did happen. Your family has been blessed to have had her in your lives. She will be missed.
