WILDA MILLER Obituary

April 8, 1933 ~ September 12, 2010

Wilda L. Miller, a longtime resident of Winton, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2010 at 77 years of age. She was born April 8, 1933 in Montezuma, KS to Edna and Roy Koehn.

Wilda enjoyed embroidery, singing and reading and was an active member of T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). She was not only their Secretary but they were a major part of her life.

Wilda is survived by her children Calvin Miller of Merced, Virginia Haygood of Winton, Cynthia Britt of Winton and Donald Miller of Atwater. She also leaves behind her 12 siblings, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 Winton Way, Atwater. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Winton. Officiating will be Russell Spence and Gary Koehn. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Atwater.

Deepest sympathy to the Miller family; I was very sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I didn't know her well, but she has always been a kind woman to me and my family especially around birthdays and holidays. She always made it a point to make sure her grandson in Illinois was not forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your were truley blessed to have such a wonderful women in your lives. I at a lost for words.I can never thank Mom Miller and the whole family for excepting me as part of there family.I moved to California when I was 6 leaving all my family in Arkansas,Georgia,and Florida.Donald and I became good friends and the whole family took me in.Thanks for the Love Donald,Virginia,and Cindy.Calvin was there to but he was older.And most of all Mrs.Miller Rest with Jesus in that mansion he has prepared for you.Its because of women like her that I turned my life around and am the person I am today.
