BRIAN PAZIN Obituary
Brian Pazin, born on June 10, 1962 in Merced, California, died very unexpectedly in Fresno, California on November 26th, 2010 while visiting with his beloved family during the Thanksgiving Holidays.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Chrissy, to whom he had been married to for 18 years, their two sons Travis and Jared. Also left behind are his adoring parents, John and Nada Pazin, his in laws, Bob and Carmen Freitas, Sue and Jeff Hessman, along with his sister Rene (Mark) and older brothers Mark (Lisa) and Richard. Also left to grieve are his nieces, Laura Pazin, Heather Garrett and Mallory Pazin, along with nephews Brandon Garrett, Nicholas Pazin, John Pazin and Joshua Freitas, all of which enjoyed thier uncle Brian's playful side during the summer months while at the pool or during a family get together, wherein Uncle Brian was the cook of the day.
Brian attended the local elementary schools and graduated from Merced High School, after which he joined the family business at Pazin & Myers, where he worked closely with his Dad (John) and brother (Richard), then branching out on his own as owner/operator of CardGas, a fuel distribution network.
Brian truly loved being with his two boys and could be found in attendance at Travis's soccer games or Jared's basketball games, enthusiastically cheering them on.Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout the years and would accompany his Dad, Uncles and friends on many fishing and hunting trips and as usual, always came home with a story.
Brian loved his sports and shared that enthusiasm with his sons and always seemed to pick the winning team and when golfing with family and friends kept up his animated ways to ensure his competition was kept off balance while putting. One of Brian's crowning achievements in the sports world was bowling a perfect 300 game on his brother's (Richard) birthday in 1997, for the bowling lanes were no match that day against Brian's wicked left handed hook.
A Catholic Mass is to be held on Friday, December 3rd, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, followed by a private internment. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to memorialize Brian, may contribute towards the Brian Pazin Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2688, Merced CA 95344, wherein the proceeds will create an endowment to benefit students attending St. Luke's Anglican School and Merced Community College.Arrangements under the direction of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home.

I was shocked to have learned the news. I went to school with Brian and as kids I always remembered him to have a smile and a joke readily available. I still think back at all those years passed and still laugh at some of things he used to say.
My sincerest heartfelt condolences goes out to Brian's wonderful family, Chrissy and her two son's Travis and Jared, Chrissy's parents, as well as Brian's parents John and Nada and his two brothers Mark, Richard and sister Rene.

What a great kid from a wonderful family. So many fond menories of the 'Pazin gang' playing tackle football on where the grass use to be at their 20th street residence. Swimming at the 17th street pool. What a spark plug he was at this young age. Good times. Shall always be in my/our memories of Brian... the 'youngest one', not the shy one. God bless

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Pazin family. Brian and I not only shared some of the same high school classes but also some of the same struggles. I learned very early on never to bowl in the lane next to him. He was GOOD! I always thought Brian just carried cool.

I fluctuate between crying over his passing and laughing at the memories, his "Brian" swagger, his laughter and great sense of humor, his antics, his loyalty to friends and family and his love for his wife and children. He was unique; God only created one Brian, and it was all good. I'm fairly certain he's being Brian in Heaven right now, and there is joyous laughter. Johnny ,Nada, and family. I will never forget our trips together to Lake McClure where all of us kids would ski and hang out on the bank playing in the water and just having a great time together.
