I'm also one of the lucky ones who had your father for typing at Merced High. He was a great teacher and I will always remember him fondly. Simply put, Mr. McCool was a very COOL teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mary Jane, My mom and dad, Phyllis and Bob Malone used to eat dinner with your dad at the Hampshire house and my mom has wonderful memories of all the great conversations they had. I, too, remember what an amazing "with it" man your dad was. Even in his 90's, he was still interested in the world, wrote on the internet, read, and was so smart. I know he will be missed. My thoughts are with you.
Warmly,
Trish Malone Schade

Mary Jane,
Your father was my teacher at Merced High. He was also my neighbor during my first few years of marriage. He was always a wonderful friend to me and my husband, Rudy.
