RONALD INGRAM Obituary

July 12, 1946 ~ October 25, 2010

Born July 12, 1946 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed from this world October 25, 2010 in Los Banos, California.

He is preceded to heaven by his parents Claude and Margaret Ingram, and his sister, Jeannine Wall, all of Winston-Salem.

Ron leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Diana Ingram, children Brett and Kris MacMillan, Leslie and Brett Barrow, and Lara and Bryan Olson. Ron was known to say that this was the family he had always wanted. He was a devoted Poppa to granddaughter Amanda MacMillan and her husband, Craig Gonzales, Samantha and Jake Barrow and Jessica McPherson. They were his shining stars.

Ron was a proud union electrician for over forty years and co-owner of the family business, Analytical and Construction Services with his wife Diana and daughter Lara for the last 16 years.

Ron was happiest when spending time at home or at his beloved Los Banos Sportsman's where he was in charge of the trap-shooting program for several years. He earned many awards for his shooting skills at competitions statewide. Ron was on the Los Banos Airport Advisors Board for many years and was an active member of the Los Banos community. He found great comfort in his faith and from his priest Father Bob of St. Joseph's and Sister Lillian of New Bethany.

Ron fought a long battle with cancer and was proud to have outlived all predictions.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 on October 31st at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, followed by a Rosary at 7:00. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 1st at 10:00 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Reception to follow at the Los Banos Sportsman's Association.

Due to the great devotion of their many family pets, and the tremendous comfort that both Ron and Diana took in them during this last year, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Los Banos Volunteers for Animals.

Dear Ms. Ingram,
Although you don't know me, I am a resident of Los Banos and read your column each week. I was moved this morning as I read your tribute to your husband as well as your column of Monday. Each of your words remined me of my last moments with my dad. Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Ingram, you have painted a beautiful picture of a man well loved and respected. My deepest condolences to you and your family. May God bring you all strength and carry you through this difficul time.
Sincerely,
Debbie Hoover
