Roy Singley Obituary

Roy G. Singley

Resident of Redwood City

Passed away on Sept 29, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

Roy was born in Minier, Ill on Jan 21, 1921 to Charles and Rosie Lee. His sisters Mary Lois and Martha and his brother Willis all preceded him in death.

He served in World War II in Germany, North Africa, Italy and France. After the war he married his French War Bride Raymonde. They were married for 64 years. They moved to Redwood City in 1960, where they raised their family.

Roy was a proud member of the Mason's serving as Master of the Palo Alto Lodge. He was a member of the Menlo Park Lodge where he received his 50 yr. Golden Veteran's Pin in 2003. He worked for United Airlines retiring after 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Josette in 2000. He is survived by his wife Raymonde, sons Andre (Susan) and Charles. Granddaughters Nicole and Arielle and grandson Scott, great granddaughters Johanna, Sophia and Brooke. Also many nieces and nephews.

Anyone wishing to attend services will be on Sat Oct 2nd at 10AM at Redwood Chapel 847 Woodside Rd. Redwood City, CA. In lieu of flowers make a donation to American Cancer Association.
