Maria Cultrera Obituary

Maria Rita Cultrera

Resident of Roseville, CA

Maria passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Roseville, CA. She was 91 years old. Maria was born on June 4, 1919 in Lawrence, MA to Anna and Antonio D'Urso. She is survived by her son Raymond and daughter Leslie Adler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Raymond, as well as her three sisters, Josephine, Agnes and Santina.

Raymond and Maria married in Lawrence and moved to California in 1945. They made their home in San Jose for over 50 years, until moving to Roseville in 2000. Maria was a homemaker for most of their life together.

Maria will always be remembered for her love of cooking and the many family holiday celebrations she created with her sisters Josie and Agnes. In her roles as a wonderful wife, Mom and Aunt Mary, she brought joy and love to all of us.

Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 6:00-8:30 PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, also at Lima Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, Maria's family requests a donation to Sutter Roseville VNA and Hospice.
