Lindstrom Boone

Resident of San Jose

Leta passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born July 1, 1917 in Gresham, Nebraska to Frank and Sadie (Hendrickson) Lindstrom. She had 2 sisters and 1 brother who preceded her in death. After graduating from high school, she moved to California in 1937 and worked at JC Penney's. She married Warren (Bud) Boone in 1939. They were blessed with 2 daughters, Carol (Boone) Cross and Lynne Boone; 3 grand-children, Kim (Cross) Johnson, Aaron Cross and Jade Bandle-Boone; and 2 great grand-children, Hailey and Hannah Johnson. Bud passed away in December 1989 shortly after they celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

Leta was very active in volunteer work with her church and Girl Scouts, generously giving her time and her skills as a seamstress. She served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at the Stone Church, PTA President, Girl Scout Leader and volunteer, and she was active with Telephone Pioneers. She always had a smile for everyone she met and was dearly loved by friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Stone Church of Willow Glen.

The family requests donations be made in her name to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.

To the Boone family, sorry for your loss, may GOD give you his LOVE, STRENGTH and PEACE in this time of sorrow. She is with GOD now and she is moving into her new house, She is seeing all that is promissed to GOD'S chilldren life with JESUS and life for eternity with GOD. She has a knew body that will never feel pain again, she is RESTING IN PEACE with our LORD JESUS CHRIST.<3 + <3 +
