Rod gave me my first shot in sales at KM, for several months I was essentially his assistant as I learned the ropes at 24 years of age. He always said I reminded him of his son and I took that as a great compliment. Though he was a Raiders fan I found him to be a great person who had great empathy which is what made him a great salesman and manager. I just learned of his passing yesterday 1/12 and still today I am bummed out. I really loved the guy he left the world way to early. To his family I heard so much about but never met, I am very sorry for your loss. "The Rookie" as he called me, will never forget him.

I have worked with Rod for as long as I can remember. Rod was one the most happy, kind and caring persons I know. He always had a smile on his face and his laugh was infectious. He was always there when we needed something special, and he always tried his hardest to get what we needed, even if it was the impossible. My heart goes out to the O'Neal family for your loss. Rod will be greatly missed!

I am very sorry to here about the passing of Rod Oneal, a real gem of a man. I had know Rod for over 2 years and had the best experiances sharing large jobs, and creating specifications. Together we both worked very hard to capture large jobs, with all of his DSM's and sales representives at Kelly Moore Paints he so loved working with on projects , problem solving and troubleshooting daily. Rod always had a great attitude about everything, and I am glad I had the pleasure working with the man! Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this time of your loss ! We didn't know Rod very long but we loved him from the start. His gentle nature, his thoughtfulness and his love for his Little Judy were a delight to behold. We truly appreciate the time we spent with him, and know his spirit will stay in the hearts of all who knew him and help them be better people. We hope to meet him again one day in Heaven.

To Rod O’Neal’s Family
Please accept my condolences for your lost.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered come home to me.
With tearful eyes I watched you and saw you pass away.
Although I love you dearly, I couldn’t let you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke my heart to prove to me the he only takes the best.

Rod and I use to stand on the corner and catch the bus for school when we were kids. I lived around the corner from him. Through the years we became friends and even doubled dated. When ever Rod and I were together we use to laugh and laugh. We became good friends and then he stole my cousins heart. We then became not only friend but family. God bless Rod. He will be in my memory for the rest of my life.
