Barbara Thatcher Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Thatcher of Northborough formerly of Sherborn, passed on April 12, 2015. Bobbie (nee Barbara June Lucas) was born in Worcester MA to Homer and Hazel Lucas. Bobbie graduated from Cornell University being distinguished as a Cadet Nurse in WWII. Married to Raynor M. Thatcher for nearly 60 years, they raised four children in Sherborn MA. Bobbie had a varied nursing career; she worked as visiting nurse in Boston MA, as a staff nurse at Brittany Towers in Natick MA and as a teacher in the Health Careers program at Keefe Tech Vocational School, Framingham MA. Among the things Bobbie loved most were her dogs, playing the organ, antiquing and spending summers in Maine. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn MA, beside husband Raynor and sons Christopher L and Scott C Thatcher. Remembered with love by son Mark, daughter Robin, son-in law Chris, granddaughters Lisa, Susannah and Kelsey, Kelsey's partner Matt and great-grandson Lucas.
