Dolores picked us up every Wednesday for choir practice at the Greek Church. My sister and I spent many Sundays singing with the choir. Dolores taught with passion and kindness. She will be missed as a teacher and as a great friend to my entire famy.

Nouna, Greek for "Godmother", told Mom at the hospital that she,at 14, wanted to baptize me. I realize I need to write a fuller accounting of all she was to me both as I grew up and as an adult. I got to hear her MFA recital at Western College, my first arias! She bought me the only new school outfit I got each schoolyear. She drove me and Sis every Wednesday to choir practice at Sts. Constantine and Helen. She loved that I pursued cello and Triple Trio, girls' glee club, and chorus. Although she went on to baptize many others, I was her very first godchild. She sent me a Valentine evry year, and I sent her a St. Patrick's Day card (she always maintained that the original Irish were Greeks!). It breaks my heart that it was her obituary that was published on this Irish holiday. I love her so much.

My Thea Dolores was a strong pillar in our community and Greek Orthodox church. She will be missed by many including myself. It is very touching to read all the tributes to her out here from those who she had made a real difference in their lives. May her memory be eternal.

I had Miss Revelos at Roosevelt in the 70's as did my siblings. Her love and dedication to music transmitted to us students. It's sad that she won't be there for future generations because she truly is an inspiration. Thank you Miss Revelos for my love of music. You will be sorely missed.

Her dedication and talent were an inspiration to all of who direct our Greek Orthodox Church choirs. I always admired her ability to motivate a group with her spirited nature and love of philanthropy. May her memory be eternal.

In the 1950's at Wilson Elementary School, I don't think there was a single student that didn't look forward to class with Miss Revelos. She was easy to love because you knew she liked teaching us. God bless.

I am among those middle school students touched by Miss Revelos in the 1970s. I have many fond memories from her classes & Triple Trio & the school musicals. She truly had a way with music and encouraging young students. Rest in Peace, Miss Revelos.

Dolores was the big sister I never had. I have so many fond memories of her, Aunt Effie and Uncle John (my pal). My parents and I lived with the three of them for the first thirteen years of my life. She was the only first cousin on my father's side and I was her only first cousin on her mother's side. There are so many things she taught me and was such an influence in my life. It's wonderful to see so many of her students on here attesting to her influence on their lives and an appreciation of music. I will truly miss you. May your memory be eternal!

We have so many fond, family memories of Aunt Delores as she was called by my husband's family, Jim Revelos. His father George was her first cousin. Aunt Delores's stories and sharing of family history brightened our lives through the years and enriched my 3 children's appreciation of all things Greek and Revelos. We were deeply blessed by her recent attendance at my daughter's wedding and the lovely family picture of her own parent's wedding, which she shared. All our love forever, Aunt Delores, Lynne Revelos

I've never met a teacher with more energy and zest than Miss Revelos. What a powerhouse! I daresay no one was ever bored in any of her classes - ever. Thank you for all those great Roosevelt memories, sharing your passion for music, and making musicals like Finnian's Rainbow so much fun.

She challenged me to strive to be better through her music classes at Roosevelt. In later years, it was good to see her at The Greek Festival and to hear of her through the book/study club she shared with my mother. I remember one day in class I was playing the piano in her room before we began singing and she commented that my piano teacher must have been Miss McClain...when I asked her how she knew, she said she had the same teacher and could tell by my technique. Middletown is a richer community having had Miss Revelos share her talents, smiles and influence for so many years. RIP....well done thou good and faithful servant!!!

Miss Revelos was certainly a force - she was so talented in getting students involved and once one worked on one of her shows you had the time of your life. Thank you Miss Revelos for your love . . . I still remember when she once called me "Ol' cow eyes," and I said back, "My mother said my eyes are beautiful!" She ran to me and hugged me and said,"They are beautiful. I love cow eyes!" Only Miss Revelos.
