Robert Smith Bolton

Mar. 3, 1922 - Aug. 30, 2015 Robert Smith Bolton, Bobby as he was known by family and friends, passed away August 30, 2015. He was 93 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Docia Davis Bolton, father, Robert Lee Bolton, and mother, Lillian Smith Busby. He is survived by one daughter, Vivian Bolton (Sam) Vaugh, two grandchildren, Robert Samuel (Laura) Vaughn and Randolph Douglas (Linda) Vaughn, two great-grandchildren, Robbie (Brittany) Vaughn and Allie Vaughn, and one great-great-grandson, Blake Vaughn. Bobby was a part of the Greatest Generation serving his country in Germany during World War II. He came home in 1946 and went to work at Ideal Cement Plant and was there for thirty three years. He was a Christian, he loved his country, he was a loving husband, father, and friend, always ready to lend a helping hand. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Oakleigh Chapel, Mobile. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Rev. Art Burroughs will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
