Juanita De Costa Obituary

JUANITA CARRILLO DE COSTA DEC 27, 1922 - NOV 28, 2010 Juanita De Costa was born in Oakdale, Ca and lived in the Modesto area for the remainder of her life. She was a parishoner of both St. Stanislaus and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Churches. She was an active member in several Portuguese clubs. She was also a member of the Teamsters and Meat and Butchers Unions. She also enjoyed sponsoring several Little League teams. We are very greatful for the loving care of the people of Community Hospice who helped her and our entire family through this journey. She is survived by Julia Foster (Wayne), Greg De Costa (Linda) Barbara Smith (Paul), and Marie Morris (Dennis), Carla Zepeda, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great great-grand- children. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald J. De Costa and her son Tony Zepeda. The visitation will be held Thurs. Dec. 2 at Franklin & Downs at 12th and G St. Modesto from 5:00-8:00 and the rosary at 6:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday Dec. 3 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at 709 J St. Modesto at 10:00am. www.modbee.com/obituaries

To my cousins in Modesto, I am so sorry for you loss. Tia Nita was a wonderful person and she will be missed by many people. To my Tia Nita, I will always have my childhood memories of you and will hold them close to my heart. May you rest in peace.

JUANITA WAS MY MOTHER-IN-LAW BUT I CONSIDERED HER AS MUCH A MOTHER AS MY OWN MOTHER. SHE FIERCLY LOVED AND PROTECTED ALL HER CHILDREN. I WILL MISS HER SO MUCH. GOOBYE MOM.
