Ralph Todd Obituary

Ralph "Dwight" Todd of L.A. C.A., and formally of Verbena, Ala., passed from this life On July 16th, 2013 following an extended illness. He was born on June 15th, 1940 in Montgomery, Ala. To Ralph M. and Mary E. (Boyd) Todd, Surviving him are a son, Ralph Travis Todd of Santa Clarita, CA., a sister, Virginia "Ginger" Atwell of Barnett, MO. A brother, Ronald "Butch" Todd and sister-in-law, Jeannie Todd of River Oaks, TX. And several cousins, nieces and nephews, Dwight's parents and one brother, John Edgar Causey, preceded him in death.

Dwight joined the Navy as a young man and was stationed on the U.S.S. Lexington aircraft carrier prior to serving in a special unit of the Marines. He later became a lawyer for a while, but eventually opened his own company, Checkmaster, Inc., which he ran as long as he was able.

He has requested that we hold no services for him, and that half of his ashes be scattered in the hills of CA. and the other half at Chestnut Creek in Verbena, Ala.

Dwight will be greatly missed by all of us who loved and knew him, but our memories of him and his antics will last forever.
