To my Auntie Madeline, my cousins who I do not know and to all of Uncle Leo's family I send my deepest condolences for your great loss. My father, Ken Lehman, although in good health, suffers from a certain degree of dementia these days and is unable to share his love and thoughts with you at this time. So I will speak for him and say how deeply saddend he is to hear of the news. He would say how much he loved and admired his big brother. And how sorry he is that he has been unable to make a visit to his homeland for many years now. This is only a fraction of what he would express if he were able to. And from me and my husband Bob, as well as the rest of my family we extend our deepest sympathy as well. I can see it, all the way from California that Uncle Leo was a much loved man and an admirable person. You should all be proud of his life well lived.
God Bless,
from Cathy Lehman in La Quinta Calif.

To Auntie Madeline, I'll always remember my mother's love for her beloved brother, Leo. She was proud of him and his record, and she made sure that we knew all about his heroism and dedication during the war. But she also remembered fondly the boy who was her brother and friend. For that reason, Uncle Leo has always been special to us as well. May he rest in peace. Love, Agnes (Cain) Doutre

We love our Poppie and miss him. I'll never forget the time he waited up for me when I was younger and had gone out for the night with friends....he wouldn't admit he was waiting up for me....it was cute. Nanny, there are no words really but know that we are thinking of you all the time. We are sorry you are hurting. We love you. To all my aunts and uncles and especially my Mum, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose your Dad. There are no words. We love you all and are here for you. Love, Gabriel, Tony & Tara
