Eva SAMARTZIDIS Obituary
January 1, 1966 – June 24, 2015
With sadness, we share the loss of Eva Samartzidis, who died peacefully in Montreal. Loved and missed by husband Peter, daughters Zoe and Julia, mother Evridiki Samartzidis, sister Urania (Nick) Nikolaidis, nieces Thalia and Anna, nephew Dimitri, mother-in-law Ernestina Vultaggio, brother- in-law Bart (Sheila) Vultaggio, sister-in-law Josie (Nick) Cuccovia, nephews James, David, Brian and Steven, and other family members, as well as many friends. Eva will always be remembered as a kind, generous, caring individual who always found time for everyone. Visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home (222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire) on Friday, June 26 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Constantine and Helen (20 Brunswick Blvd, DDO), followed by Interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the West Island Palliative Care Residence (Pointe-Claire) or the West Island Wellness Centre (Beaconsfield).

I am shocked and saddened to have just heard of Eva's sudden passing.
Eva was the most kind, thoughtful and compassionate friend. I miss her dearly and will cherish our long conversations.

Dear Peter, Zoe and Julia.
So very sorry to hear of your wife and mom, Eva's passing. She was so young and I am sure you will all miss her greatly. It is unfortunate that she was not well enough to enjoy another family vacation at Blue Sky Days in PEI. I will keep you all in my prayers and hopefully someday you will be able to revisit PEI.

I am very fortunate to have Eva as my friend since I started working in the office of general counsel. We worked with each other but the friendship and support she gave to me were so precious and unforgettable. Eva, we all miss you. We miss your great personality and your beautiful smile.

Eva is such a beautiful soul. I feel blessed to have felt her positive energy once a week in a yoga studio. She was one of my Tuesday Ladies who showed up every week to practice with a smile on her face. Eva will be missed. My condolences to Eva's family and friends.
