Ernest Nutt Obituary

Ernest L. Nutt, 93, of Frontenac, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2013, at Oakview Estates, Frontenac.
He was born November 5, 1919, at rural McCune, KS, the son of Louie L. and Amanda (Green) Nutt.
Mr. Nutt served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged on April 17, 1952.
He was united in marriage to Leona Mishler. They later divorced.
Mr. Nutt worked for the Census Bureau for 31 years before his retirement in 1977.
Membership was held in the Benjamin Fuller American Legion Post NO. 64 of Pittsburg.
He is survived by one son, Greg Nutt and his wife, Melinda of McCune, KS, one daughter, Debbie Shaffer and her husband, Rick of McCune, KS, two brothers, Melvin Nutt of Pittsburg, KS, and Charles Nutt of Chanute, KS, one sister, Juanita Bringle of WA, four grandchildren, Justin Shaffer, Larissa Bowman, Heather Burns and Cody Nutt, and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
According to Mr. Nutt's wishes he has been cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Friends may also leave online condolences at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
