George Swint Obituary

George E. Swint, 84, went to meet the Lord on August 22, 2007 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born December 6, 1922 in Stamford, Texas. He retired from Phillips Petroleum after 37 years of service. George served in World War II as a Marine in the 4th Tank Battalion and fought on Iwo Jima and the Marshall Islands.

He was a devoted Christian and member of Western Hills Baptist Church in Kerrville.

George was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Selbia Ladelle Swint, daughter Carol Swint Thomas, grandson, Trey Thomas, two sisters, Dorothy White and Pat Smith, niece Denise Dean and nephew Ross Ritz. He was greatly loved by his family and will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, 10 A.M. at Western Hills Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Frank Pullin. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery with full Military Honors.
