Virginia Spiegel Obituary
AGE: 80 • Manchester
Virginia E Spiegel 80 of Manchester died Tuesday May 17th at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. Born in New York City, she resided in New Providence for 45 years prior to moving to Manchester 10 years ago. She graduated from Bryant High School in Long Island City, NY. She studied interior design and worked for Wallach's Department Store in New York City. She continued her education and graduated as an LPN from St Barnabas Nursing School. She worked for Equitable Insurance Co as a manager and Runnells Hospital before retiring in 2000. Virginia volunteered her time with the elderly at Overlook and Runnells Hospitals. She was an active member of the Leisure Village West Caritas and the Italian American Club.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph in January 2011. Surviving are her 3 sons and daughter-in-laws, Joseph S Jr & Patricia Gerard T & Iris and James F, 3 daughters and son-in-laws, Susan Spiegel & Leonard, Nancy Spiegel & Joseph and Virginia Vicari & Richard, Brother Harry Williamson, sister, Elizabeth Skarnulus, 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph S III, Timothy, Patrick, Rebecca, Christopher, Joseph Mario, Gianna, Danielle and Richard, and 2 great grandsons, Timothy and Anthony Joseph and many nieces and nephews and beloved friends. Visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 10 AM at St John's Church Lakehurst with entombment to follow at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers please make your donations to Hunterdon Hospice 2100 Wescott Dr, Flemington, NJ 08822.
