Robert J. Kamienski, 73, of Belford, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a courageous year long battle with brain cancer. Bob was born in Elizabeth in 1942 but lived his entire childhood in Linden and graduated from Linden HS in 1959. Since 1972 he has lived in Belford. After high school he served as a Staff Sergeant of the 112th Field Artillery in the National Guard for 6 years. Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude in only 2 ½ yrs from Bloomfield College in 1971, where he majored in business and economics and was president of Alpha Kappa Psi. After college, he went to work at Howard Savings Bank where his pitching led them to three state and ASA National softball titles. Since 1978 he was president/co-owner of US Appraisal Group in Iselin and a certified real estate appraiser in NJ. As a member of the NAIFA Appraisal Association he was named 1987 Appraiser of the Year.

Bob was a successful soccer coach. He coached the Middletown Express to 2 NJ State Championships and 41 tournament victories throughout the USA. He also coached Oak Hill Academy in Lincroft to numerous division titles.

Bob was also an avid and respected, licensed boat captain. He was an active member and past president of the Hi-Mar Fishing Club. He won numerous fishing tournaments and enjoyed giving seminars. He lost the family boat, King Fisher, in Hurricane Sandy.

Bob loved traveling, which included annual trips to Aruba, Las Vegas and of course the Borgata in AC. With his big heart and personality, he will be dearly missed by family, friends, and good neighbors.

Bob is survived by Pat, his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 yrs; his son, Brandon of Sarasota, Fl.; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Scott Simpson of Tinton Falls and their two children, Ashley and Tanner; a brother, Donald of Roebling; a devoted nephew, Dean of Pittsgrove, a niece, Jennifer of Pennington; and many loving cousins across the country.

Come join family and friends to celebrate Bob's life on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 2 to 5 pm at the John F Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Rd. Middletown, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 9:15 am at the funeral home with a funeral liturgy to be offered at 10:30am at St Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown .
