Florence Russo (Gerity), 84, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was born February 6, 1928 in Woodbridge where she was raised. Retiring in 1991 she was employed as a secretary for twenty two years for the Woodbridge Township school district. She married the late Patrick Russo on July 4th 1948 and shared fifty three years of their life together. They spent many of those happy days at Monmouth Park Racetrack and Atlantic City.

She is predeceased by her loving son, James Russo; her grandson, John Russo; her parents, Florence (Woodhull) Gerity and William Henry Gerity, and her brother, William Gerity. She is survived by her son, Robert Russo and his wife Carole of Sewaren; a daughter, Nancy Russo-McGrath and her husband Robert of Woodbridge who she resided with; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Russo of Toms River; nine grandchildren, Brian Russo, Annie Russo, Shawn McGrath, Keith McGrath, Lindsay McGrath-Pagan, Carly McGrath-Fiorito, Danielle Penna, James Russo, Sally Russo; six great grandchildren, Christian, Morgan, Kaylee, Sean, Brandon, Avery; loving sister, Joan Anderson; her cousin, John Woodhull; nephews, David Gerity, William Gerity whom she loved dearly, many nieces, nephews, and her precious deceased dogs, Cody and Archie.

Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30am at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge followed by interment at St. James Cemetery.
