Matthew Bar

AGE: 52 • Hillsborough

Matthew Bar, 52, died peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Son of Augustyn and Wladyslawa Bar, Matthew was born in Krzemienna, Poland and lived in Bound Brook before moving to Hillsborough 25 years ago. Matthew was a truck driver working 17 years for Toy's"R"Us and the past two years with Shop Rite in Elizabeth. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary (Jablonska) Bar; children, Elizabeth Bar and Steven Bar of Hillsborough; siblings, Urszula Pawiak of Poland, Jan Bar of Poland, and Piotr Bar of Hillsborough; mother, Wladyslawa Bar; sisters-in-law, Jane Bukowczyk of Bridgewater, Wladyslawa Ortyl of Poland; mother-in-law, Danuta Jablonska of Poland, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 5-9 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 8:30 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at St. Mary's Church in Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown.
