Jennie Vandergriff Obituary
AGE: 91 • Barnegat
Jennie "Jean" Vandergriff, 91, of Barnegat , died on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Stafford Township. She was born in Plainfield and was a lifelong resident until recently.
Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was a seamstress for Laggren's in Plainfield.
Mrs. Vandergriff was known for her baking especially around the holidays. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Vandergriff.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherrill L. LaMonda and her husband, Allen and Jane Sherryand her husband, Joseph; her grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Slaza, Nicole Lynn Giancola and Stacy LaMonda Nieves; her great Grandchildren, Angelina, Anabella and Alyssa . Also survived by her sister, F. Lois Henderson and several nieces and nephews,
A visitation will be held on Sunday , July 9th from 1 to 5 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery.
