Edith Arlene Streitmatter

Edith Arlene Streitmatter, 82, of Francesville, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family, at 10:24 p.m. Saturday, July 29 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Rensselaer. Edith was born on Sept. 9, 1934 in Rensselaer, to the late Richard and Zura Ethel Snedeker Streitmatter.
Edith was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville, Indiana. She had worked for over 30 years at Schumacher Co. in Rensselaer. Edith enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had been a resident of Parkview Haven Retirement home for 21 years.
She is survived by her sister, Ethel Joan Gutwein of Francesville; her brother, R. Keith (Marlene) Streitmatter of Rensselaer; brother G. Dale ( Barbara) Streitmatter of Rensselaer; brother-in-law Irvin Yaggie of Francesville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Zura Ethel Snedeker Streitmatter; sister Lois Yaggie; brother-in-law Harvey Gutwein; nephew James Tucker; cousin James (Rose Smith) Wren and
great-nephew Samuel Streitmatter.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Friday Aug. 4 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will take place in Osborne Cemetery in Rensselaer.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. EDT, on Thursday, Aug. 3 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel Francesville, and one hour prior to services at the church.
