Christopher Ray Obituary
September 29, 1973 - March 18, 2016
Green Sea, SC
Christopher Gene Ray, age 42 of Fair Bluff Highway died Sunday, March 21, 2016.
Mr. Ray was born in Whiteville, North Carolina, a son of Sarah Logan. He was a firefighter with the Conway Fire Department where he received the 2014 Physical Fitness Award. Mr. Ray was a volunteer with Horry County Fire Rescue, Stations 6 and 41. He was a student at Horry Georgetown Technical College and was formerly employed by Food Lion, Hills, IGA, and BiLo grocery Stores.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Florida are: Brandi Ray of Green Sea, SC; daughters, Cheyenne Ray of Tabor City, NC and Reagan Ray of Green Sea, SC; stepson, Troy Phipps of Green Sea, SC; brothers, Dicky Ray and Davey Ray, both of Tabor City, NC; and his paternal grandmother, Bernice Ray of Tabor City, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday from Beach Church, 557 George Bishop Parkway in Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow in Buffkin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday.

Words can't express how deeply saddened I am for such a loss of a great man. God saw a greater need for Chris in Heaven and has called him to complete his tasks in the place where there is no more weeping, and no more crying! His works here on earth will speak for him and I know he's so "Happy!" May God bless the sorrowing family and friends.
