Catherine T. "Cathy" Staab, 69, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home.
Born on February 10, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Catherine Friel Eves, Sr.
Catherine was a devoted member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and loved her Conure birds.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 37 years, James "Jim" Staab; daughter, Carrie Urbanelli; stepson, James Staab; and stepdaughters, Dolores "Dee" Gagnon and Tracey Catino; three brothers; one sister; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, April 18 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, P.O. Box 3369, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 or Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100 8th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.

We were so sorry to hear about Cathy. She was one of our nicest neighbors. She always had a smile on her face when she and Jim went on their regular walks. We are fortunate to have known her. Our hearts go out to Jim and his family.
