Alfred H. “Skip” Martin, 87, of Lancaster, and formerly of Mountville, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin. For over 40 years Skip was the owner and operator of a recycling center in Silver Spring. In his younger days Skip enjoyed hunting and would travel to Colorado and Canada for hunting adventures. Throughout his life Skip had a servant’s heart, engaging people in all walks of life, but wanting to help them as well during their time of need. He deeply loved people.
Per Skip’s wishes there will be no services. Those desiring may send contributions in Skip’s memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
