Doris Stauffer Hufford

Doris Stauffer Hufford, 97, of Lititz, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully on Thursday October 2, 2025 at Keystone Villa at Ephrata. Born in Brunnerville, she was the daughter of the late David and Gertie Nelson Frederick. Doris was predeceased by her first husband, Donald C. Stauffer, who passed away in May of 1986, and her second husband, Ronald E. Hufford, who died in May of 2020.

For over 33 years Doris was the Warwick School District Food Service Director. She was a lifelong member of the Lititz Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church. A dedicated choir member, she held multiple volunteer positions at the church she loved. For many years Doris assisted others with loss as a volunteer for the “New Beginnings” grief support organization.

Throughout her life, Doris was passionate about travel, having explored much of the United States and various parts of Europe. She also loved spending time outdoors, whether camping with her family in her youth or tending to her beautiful flower gardens later in life. Doris was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. She also enjoyed caring for any animal in need of love and attention.

Above all, Doris valued her faith and family, holding her cherished friends, as well as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, close to her heart. She will be remembered for her genuine kindness, generosity, and loving spirit.

Surviving are two daughters: Dr. Linda Brewer of South Lebanon, Michelle, wife of David Deckard of Lititz, a son, Joseph husband of Theresa Stauffer of Lititz, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a son-in-law, Anthony G. Brewer, a brother, Reverend Carl Frederick, and a sister, Vera Shaub.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Doris’s Memorial Service at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 44 East Orange Street, Lititz, on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the service. Interment will be in Lititz Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Doris’s memory to Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, P.O. Box 211, Lititz, PA 17543.
