Services for Myrna Hufford, of Morris, Minnesota, will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Morris with Reverend Michael Hanson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Myrna Ann Miller, was born on November 11, 1937, to Carl and Helen (Belding) at her family home near Herman in Macsville, Township, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and graduated from Herman High School in 1955. After her schooling, she worked for the Herman Market Co. for five years. On July 1, 1961, Myrna married Dick Hufford at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Herman. To this union, three sons were born; two remain on the family farm and one is in Kansas.
Myrna enjoyed farming with Dick and the boys – from picking rock to helping with the cattle – she did it all! Myrna was a member of the Merry Homemaker’s Club for many years, was on a bowling league, and enjoyed a night out with the girls. She was a charter member at Good Shepherd Church, LCMC, and was active in bible study, decorating for church functions and serving at coffee hour. Myrna enjoyed traveling – including: up north for fishing trips, bus trips to Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, and also going to Arizona in the winters to visit John and the girls.
Myrna loved her God, Dick, her three boys, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
Myrna died peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Courage Cottage in Morris, she was 87 years old.
Myrna is survived by her three sons: Jeff Hufford of Morris, Kirby (Julie) Hufford of Morris and John (Brenda) Hufford of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren: Mitchell (Katie) Hufford of Morris, Taylor (Amanda) Hufford of Morris, Makenna Hufford (Fiancé, Jake Swalla) of Morris, Brianna Hufford of Scottsdale, AZ, Heather Hufford of Scottsdale, AZ, Brooke Hufford of Phoenix, AZ, and Emma Friesen of Morris; three great-grandchildren: Easton Hufford, Carson Hufford and Brooks Hufford; sister, Kitty (Pete) Haug of Fargo, ND; brother-in-law: Jim (Peggy) Hufford of Maple Grove; and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dickie in 2024; one infant grandchild, Jordan Hufford; sister, Virene and her husband, Buck Dilly; sister-in-law, Sandy Hufford.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Courage Cottage or donor’s choice.
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of arrangements for Myrna.
