Mom was great woman of faith, very positive, and was warm hearted. Her paddle for her grandchildren was padded, lol. She was a Matriarch and is dearly missed by all blessed to call her Mom. RIP dear Mom, love Ray Jr.

One of my fondest memories of Barbara Jean (we always called her Barbara Jean) was the summer of 1950 in Sterling. My father had finished his junior year at Colorado A&M and was doing summer intern in Sterling. My mother and I, mom was also a Barbara, spent quite a bit of time with Barbara Jean and my great-uncle Babe and great-aunt Cleone. Uncle Babe had the Larsen's Market at the time. Barbara Jean was my cousin, technically my first cousin 1 time removed. Barbara Jean was 18 at the time and I only 6. She was kind of a big sister to me that summer. Mom was a seamstress and Barbara Jean, as I recall, asked mom to make her some dresses and a suit. Because of that Barbara Jean spent a lot of time with us. I would hang around them while they were making the dresses, probably more than they wanted me to. When mom finished a dress Barbara Jean would model it and mom would take a picture of her in the dress. My favorite picture of us is Barbara Jean standing next to me with her hand on my shoulder. We had a great time that summer, never to be duplicated.
Sadly we lost Barbara Jean but then we are all only here for a short time, so enjoy life as she did.
Remember - our reward awaits us in heaven.

My beloved Mother, there is not a day that goes by that I do not celebrate your life! Your EXAMPLE was love, mercy, grace, hope, faith and positivity in every circumstance in life. I know you were not of this world, Jesus Christ lived in you every moment of your life you were filled with the Holy Spirit. You were the best most wonderful loving mother, just like your father your positive powerful way of motivating ensured my success in life, and a multitude of others. the Word of God dwelled in you you said to me as early as I can remember, " And we know that God causes all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to HIS purpose." I literally argued with a Sunday school teacher in 2nd grade that you wrote that verse, not Paul!!! Romans 8:28. More than that you lived the Word. Every day I look at your picture with a heart filled with love for a gentle, caring, faithful, merciful, hopeful and LOVING mother who God gifted us with. And I know you are home now with your beloved savior. I can't wait to see you, and Dad. . .You and I can ride horses, through meadows over streams into the mountains just like we used to, relaxing in the saddle with the sun on our face and the SON in US forever!!! Your youngest son, John W. Nelson

Barbara Jean Rosenbach was not just a great Realtor, a sweet wonderful person, and a bright shining light in our world. She was most of all a wonderful Mother, which I know because of how enormously loved she was by her son John. What a woman - what a loss...

Jerry & I first met Barb during the time Terry and our son Steve were dating (over 22 years ago.) Barb was a joy to be around. She made anyone comfortable in her presence with her sense of humor, great attitude and love of life. She was an inspiration to the three grandchildren and one great granddaugher we shared! Yes, she was a unique woman, full of love and compassion for others. She will definitely be missed by all of us!!

How I will miss you so much dear friend . You are and always will be loved in my heart. You were like a second mother to me all of those years and I will still have talks with you all the time. You were so much more than a good neighbor and our landlord. You and Wayne are like a big part of our family, with many years of history. You will be missed so by our family. I want to send my thoughts and love to all the children and grandchildren. Your mom was full of life, love, and compassion, and respect to all she loved. She will soar with wings of beautiful travel anywhere she wants to go now.(And no packing a bunch of clothes for her travel. Just her free spirited wings of an angel.)

Mama,
I am so proud to be your daughter! What a perfect example your life has been of loving kindness, graciousness, and acceptance of all. You touched so many lives with real love given from your heart. I know you are living with Jesus because you believed you would someday. I feel peace in that knowledge. I will miss you and love you for the rest of my life. Terry Jean

How hard to say goodbye to such a great friend thru High School and knowing all the family growing up... Our lunch last week was SO great. Loved Brittany and her loving care for you... Meeting John and Ember in Oct. was also a blessing.. How could we know we would have to say good bye to her so soon... Our trip to Hawaii and some mountain trips were the greatest and she was the hostess with the mostest, beyond all measure.... Our classmates have made many calls and we shared many class reunion memories...We loved she and Wayne and i loved hearing about the children as I knew Wayne's Children from the time they were small....She loved them all!!!!!I have tears for her loss, but know she and Wayne are together traveling anywhere they can get in Heaven!!!!!!!My love to her always...

The first time I ever met Barbara, she and Wayne had driven to MO for the Zuhlke reunion. She had just had permanent eyeliner on her eyelids and had an allergic reaction. She had to go to the doctor while here. She was so bubbly I almost felt like a guest in her house rather than she being a guest at ours.
She and Wayne made sure we were welcome to stay with them any time we were in Denver. We were able to take advantage of their hospitality a couple of times.
We enjoyed the stories of all their travels. We also went out to eat one time while traveling through Denver.
Our last visit to their house was in 2009. Wayne had all the material for in home dialysis. Barbara was so positive to have him at home.
I loved her stories about going to Sterling high school and reuniting with Wayne at a high school reunion. How romantic.
Barbara loved life and all of her children and grandchildren. She was a very special person.
