I got a morning call recently from a high school classmate, Ned Biddix, who gave me the sad news that our dear fellow classmate and friend Baxter Thorman had passed away.
The first thing Ned and I said to each other upon news was “Baxter was really one of the good guys.” He was always in the middle of things we did—both the worthy and the mischievous unworthy.
