Bernice Sauvage

1929 - 2016

Bernice Sauvage (nee Silvestera), of Pearl City, HI, formerly from Ambler, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler. She was 87 years old. Born in North Wales, PA, she lived in Hawaii for over fifty years before moving back to Ambler a year ago. Bernice was an Administrative Assistant for the Department of the Navy in Pearl Harbor, HI, from 1948 until 1965. In 1965, she transferred to Hickam Airforce Base and worked there until her retirement. She was a graduate of Ambler High School. Bernice was pre-deceased by her sister, Patricia Cressman and her brother, Michael Silvestera, surviving are her three siblings, John Silvestera, Phyllis “Dolly” Maxwell and Catherine “Cassie” Myers, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be privately held under the direction of Lamb Funeral Home, Huntingdon Valley, PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in the name of Bernice Sauvage to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
