It was an honour to have met your mother. She was a sweet, loving and kind soul. My condolences to your family are sent your way. In His loving arms… Sincerely, Heather

Ray & Wanda and all the Family,
I have been praying that the Lord brings you all peace and comfort and makes His presence known to you through your loss. Betty was such a great Mom to you guys and to so many others growing up. She was also my Mom's best friend who loved your Mom very much.
I have tried to reach you guys by phone as I'd like to talk to you. (My office 866-652-5776, mornings if possible.)
God's blessings on you all.
Love & hugs,
RD

Mrs. Averitt had the sweetest smile. She visited our home to welcome me to Fair Haven and was an active member of the UMW women's group. She was a great and gracious lady. Kathy Celestine

Growing up on Agnes street was the best. With the Averitt family, the Caldwell's, the Furlow's the Thomas' and the Stewart's. We were all one big huge family. We did not have just one Mom we had many mom's. Betty was one of our Mom's! We had such a wonderful safe place. Betty was always home and we knew if we needed anything or got hurt that she was there. Her pajama parties with Pizza and cots in the garage were the best! Betty made our childhood that much sweeter because she was there.

"
My sister" who was a loving caring person whom I will miss every day. She taught me how to cook and be a good mother. I loved my Sister and Edward very much. She is with God and Edward now.

Aunt Betty ran a great cousin camp, when we were growing up. Taught me to LOVE peanut butter and banana sandwiches. She was like a second mom during the early years growing up around Ray and Wanda. I miss her already. . .Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I have not seen Betty in a very long time but I remember her as a very caring teacher of young children. She taught my now 36 year old daughter at Fair Haven Mothers Day Out program. I am so grateful for the influence she had on my daughter's life.
