Charles “Chuck” Oscar Weisner, Jr., 68, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was a native of Guilford County and the husband of 17 years to Dawn Pennington Weisner who survives. He was the son of the late Charles Oscar Weisner, Sr. and Edna Irene Wyrick Weisner.
Chuck retired from The Hampshire after many years of service. He was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church. Chuck was an avid hunter, enjoyed going to Nascar races and cleaning on his truck. Chuck enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially taking trips to the beach with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and brother, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Pennington Weisner of the home; daughter, Amber Bledsole and husband, Blake of Elon and a son, Brock Jones of Burlington; grandchildren, Martina (Brandon) Bryner, Jonathan Boggs, Emma Jones, Ellee Bledsole and Evie Bledsole; great grandchildren, Brantley Bryner and Raelynn Bryner; sisters, Carol Younger of Gibsonville and Jo Uckele and husband, Chuck of Burlington; sister-in-law, Donna Mumford and husband, Tommy of Graham and a brother-in-law, Aubrey Shepherd of Raleigh; nieces, Kimberly Thomas and Emily Uckele and nephews, CJ Uckele, Daniel Mumford, TJ Mumford, Wilson Shepherd, and Tyler Thomas . He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy Shepherd; Brother-In-Law, Richard Younger; special nephew, Matt Younger, brother-in-law; Richard M. Younger and his canine companion, a Dachshund named “Rocky”.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Glencoe Baptist Church by Pastor Darrell Massey with burial to follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
